L’air froid
s’ouvre dans le matin.
Les mots d’hier
restent sur la vitre
et se changent en givre.
Quand le souffle sort
il devient brume blanche.
Dans la paume de la main
demeure la chaleur qui disparaît
avec le souvenir.
Au coin de la rue
même le regard du chat
cherche de la chaleur
au milieu du froid,
et nous nous regardons.
Le murmure de la pluie
secoue les branches.
Les gouttes qui tombent
entrent dans l’air
et tout reprend vie.
Même l’aube froide
est ici avec nous.
Dans cet instant
la chaleur reste chaleur
au fond du souffle.

Cold air
opens across the morning.
Words from yesterday
remain on the window glass
and spread into frost.
When breath comes out
it turns to white mist.
In the palm of the hand
the disappearing warmth
stays with the memory.
At the street corner
even the cat’s eyes
search for warmth
inside the cold,
and we look at each other.
The whisper of rain
shakes the branches.
Falling drops
seep into the air,
and everything comes alive again.
Even the cold dawn
is here with us.
Inside this moment
warmth remains as warmth
within the breath.

Den kalla luften
breder ut sig i morgonen.
Orden från i går
ligger kvar på glaset
och blir till frost.
När andedräkten kommer ut
blir den vit dimma.
I handflatan
stannar värmen som försvinner
tillsammans med minnet.
I gatuhörnet
söker också kattens blick
efter värme
mitt i kylan,
och vi ser på varandra.
Regnets viskning
skakar trädgrenarna.
Dropparna som faller
går in i luften,
och allt får liv igen.
Också den kalla gryningen
är här tillsammans med oss.
I detta ögonblick
finns värmen som värme
inne i andetaget.
