Italiano

English

The houses on the port smell of salt,
they have windows that look at the sea.
The wood of the pearls,
like an old man who speaks alone.

A woman washes glasses at the bar,
The radio whispers a distant newspaper.
A seagull passes without shouting,
cut the wind and disappear.

A boy takes ice to boats,
He laughs with his eyes closed.
The sea listens to it without answering,
like a father who can wait.

On the walls remain shadows of ropes,
water reflects the colours of the glass.
The houses on the port still breathe,
with the patience of those who saw everything.

Svenska

Husen på hamnen luktar salt,
De har fönster som ser på havet.
trä av pärlor,
Som en gammal man som talar ensam.

En kvinna tvättar glasögon i baren,
Radion viskar en avlägsen tidning.
En seagull passerar utan skrik,
skär vinden och försvinner.

En pojke tar is till båtar,
Han skrattar med ögonen stängda.
Havet lyssnar på det utan att svara,
Som en far som kan vänta.

På väggarna förblir skuggor av rep,
Vatten återspeglar glasets färger.
Husen på hamnen andas fortfarande,
med tålamodet hos dem som såg allt.
